[OPEN BETA] Litchi Pilot

360 would be the same heading as 0 degrees. Normally the drone would rotate the shorter angular distance between headings at two waypoints. If you want something different you would need to set the rotation to “manual” in settings and then specify the rotation direction for that waypoint.

Hi. I think with the original version of Litchi you can change a few color profile settings, like saturation or contrast but I didn’t see those options on Litchi Pilot. Will they be implemented in the future?

That’s what I’m most interested in as I’m a videographer and the base color and sharpness of the Mini 3 (not Pro) are really bad and can’t be changed on the DJI Fly app.

Thanks.

Please add vr mode in litchi pilot for mini 3

Hello, first time poster.
I own the mini 2 (works perfectly with litchi) and now the mini 3 pro.
The mini 3 pro (M3P) while using the litchi pilot app screen freezes (lags) every single photo that is taken. I have tried different sd cards, and all experience the same screen freeze. Im using the satandard controller (n1) and samsung s23 ultra phone, with litchi pilot build 300.
If anyone could please comment to help resolve this screen freeze (lag) at every single photo. Much appreciated.

You have to Force Close ANY DJI app before running Litchi Pilot.

Correct i totally agree.
Ive shut everything else down.
Just running litchi. Problem still remains
Thanks

I downloaded it and it works on mini 3. I would like to fly higher than 120m. How to increase the height limit?

Settings> Aircraft>
Maximum Altitude : Sets the maximum flight altitude.

C0 certified drones, all the Mini series, are limited to 120m above take off point in the EU.
NO 3rd party app can change this.

I set it to 500 m and the drone couldn’t fly higher than 120 m anyway

Hi everyone,
I recently downloaded Litchi Beta for DJI Mini 3 and I’m looking to set up a photogrammetry mission. I have a few questions:

  • Do I need to purchase any additional features or licenses?
  • If purchases are required, where can I buy them?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Search the forum for “photogrammetry”.
There are numerous threads about that subject.

To make a map, you have everything you need to take the pictures with Litchi Pilot and the online resource it offers to make your mission, but stitching the pictures together in an accurate way is where the $ can bite.
…that said, a good photostitching app will give you something nice to look at even if it’s not exactly accurate per calibration to a gps. Beyond that there’s Q GIS and Webodm that can work for free but might be a jump off the deep end if you’re not handy with computers.

Hello,

I am new to Litchi and flying a Mini 3. I am using this beta on Android device.

When I open Litchi app and then tap on the icon top-left of corner, I get a message reading, “More flight modes coming soon.” All I can do is tap OK. That’s it, no options to bring up any missions types at all.

See photo attached.

What should I do next?

Thanks,
Adam

On the left side of the screen:

-Press the “Pen” button to create a flight plan
or
-Press the “Folder” button to open an existing flight plan
or
-Press the “Take off” button for manual flight.

And most of all:

Read the Online User Guide:

Thanks @TriBar

I blasted through the User Guide once, and will do so again. I just seem to recall that in said guide, it instructs one to tap that button for mission options.

More time is required on my part reading the guide.

That depends on what you want to do. You could just fly manually or you could make a waypoint mission. If you wanted to make a waypoint mission, that would be easiest using the Mission Hub on your computer.

I’m starting to catch on, thanks.

The application works very well. However, it has one important shortcoming. When I create a route and my battery is not sufficient, I bring the drone back. However, the mission is canceled. In other words, when the battery runs out, the drone should come back and continue the mission from where it left off when I change the battery. Other major applications have this feature, and some applications even provide information on how much battery is sufficient.

I have a DJI Mini 3 Pro and I’m using Litchi Pilot on my android smartphone. Planning and automatically flying mission works great.
Next step I want to do is fly to a spot and take “Waypoint at aircraft”. But I cannot find this in Litchi Pilot. Is this because it’s the beta app? Or do I just can’t find the right menu?
Thanks for clearness.
