I need Help With my Mini2 and Litchi App for IOS

+1 Dashware, but a bit of learning.

It seems you get what you pay for. If you have unlimited time and patience this Dashware could work for you. Regrettably I lack both, so I will give it a pass, but thank you for brining to our attention. :pensive:

Да я могу размещать на видео любые параметры.

Most of all, gimbal tilt and drone direction are needed in order to analyze missions.

Hi Martin, I went ahead purchased the Telemetry Software, thanks again for the heads up on this one, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Oh, that’cool. But I use it for free

Hi TriBar,
Just an update, I purchased the DJI Mini 2 training wheels / 360 Cage Prop guard. It seems strange that you put on training gear and suddenly you are well above the 249 gram limit. So presumably I will now need a license to fly my drown with my training gear attached. I must confess I am not the world’s best pilot in fact I think the reverse is probably true, so I rely heavily on Litchi to set up my missions. Needless to say when Litchi is flying my drone, I do so without the training gear. I am still incredibly impressed with this software, but I think I have found a couple glitches in the OSI version.

  1. When using the Litchi Mission hub on my PC the action function does not seem to function as expected. eg. Rotating the Aircraft seems not function at all.
  2. The Tilt camera functions seems to be over taken by the interpolate setting on the Gimbal.
  3. When the Above Ground option is to True, it seems to be working from its originating point not where the drone is actually located. In my case I found this very misleading and potentially dangerous.
Yes in the Android version of Litchi waypoint options, there appears to be a camera option, which is missing from the OSI version. :slightly_frowning_face:
If you, or anyone else have any thoughts on these items, would love to hear from you.

Chris. Im operating from IOS as well. I concur with your three points, particularly the potentially hazardous Above Ground/True option, which nearly sent my Air2s into Sydney harbour.

Either way, the most disappointing aspect of all this is the jerky results that come from the limitations set by DJI. I appreciate that Litchi has no choice but to operate in stick mode but that essentially renders the app useless to me.

Can you expand on the jerky results, as that is one thing I do not get. In fact I get a very smooth flight, when using waypoints. Perhaps you are referring to something different?
If you notice when you set the Above Ground Option to true they waypoints show your value then they show a value in parenthesis, the later is actually the value the drone is both flying on and recording to.

Guys please stop talking about this, it’s not funny.

All of this is written in clear and understandable language. There is no need to assume how it works.

Right. Then you are incredibly lucky. DJI no longer supports autonomous controlled flight (apart from the slightly silly Hyperlapse modes). Subsequently the output from the Air2s when compared to, say, the Mavic P2 when using a third party option such as Litchi produces something controlled via the app, rather than something that is in internal drone memory. The results are highly variable at best and unusable at worst. That you yourself are getting smooth gimble and yaw movement is incredible.

And Paxxa, please stop talking. You’re not funny.

You raise an interesting point the drone I am using is somewhat junior to yours I think. I have the DJI Mini 2 and I have to admit I am very impressed with it. Admittedly it is missing the sensor package, but for my purposes so far, it fits the bill. Perhaps when I have more experience under my belt I will look to the next stage of drone with a full sensor package. By the way, what are your regulations in Australia for commercial and non commercial operations? Here in Canada we seem to follow pretty much the US standards.

I want to tell you the same. You discuss what is written in the manual with such surprise, as if it is something incredible.

When turning, it makes stepped movements, which is different from smooth turns. You can upload your video files to watch

…which is mildly preferable to spewing misinformation as “facts”, right?

Btw, there is nobody twisting your arm to involve yourself in someone else’s discussion. I read the manual as have many others, and the results were not as described. An experience common amongst others. Thus this discussion.

Well, its also possible that the lightness of the Mini 2 aids somewhat, but until DJI adds waypoint support (nobody is holding their breath) this is probably the best we can expect from anything less than an Enterprise model.

This is not true. There has already been posted a video with such a bug on mini 2

I said “possible”.

As opposed to claiming it as “fact”.

Spot the difference? Dude, you’re obsessed.

The video editor helps a little with the “stabilization” setting
