Where to get litchi apk ? Amazon app store closing

With the pending closing of the amazon app store in August 2025. I am thinking to avoid using it to install litchi on new android controller; i would like to avoid any potential use problems months from now when the Amazon store closes

Is there a reliable source to purchase a new android version of Litchi apk ?

Thank you for this info

Is there already a place to download the Amazon Litchi APK?
Amazon seems to be blocking new requests coming from Android 5, which happens to be the one installed in DJI CrystalSky…

The Amazon store app can still be downloaded from the second question on the faq page:

I uninstalled the Amazon Appstore on Android. How can I re-install it?

If you have uninstalled the Amazon Appstore and need to reinstall it, click here

I cannot download the app from Amazon. I bought both the android and IOS. Can you please figure out a way for me to get the apk? I really cannot wait for “some time in the future”. I have work to do today. Imagine my surprise when I found I am unable to get the installation file to use for a job. I know it is a very low price ap but that does not change anything. I and maybe we need the support. Thanks. Good little ap. I have a couple tasks that I have created a workflow that includes Litchi. The customer is wondering where I am.

Copy/paste from the other thread on this subject:

If you bought Litchi in the Amazon app store and your remote controller uses Android 6 or lower (for example Phantom 4 Pro RC, Crystalsky etc), then you can no longer download Litchi from the Amazon app store since Amazon has dropped support for Android 6 or lower. If you need to reinstall Litchi in such situation, please contact us at support@flylitchi.com and we will send you an APK that you can use instead.

Please note that this APK will only work if you bought Litchi in the Amazon app store in the past (and used it once to sync the license with our servers).

@Scott what is preventing you to download and install from the amazon app store? Which mobile device are you trying to install Litchi on?

@vico My CrystalSky. I have reset the device. Now I cannot get the app. That is not right from any view. Sure it is only $37. I am wasting time. I am not interested in any opinion about the CrystalSky btw. I just need to use it. Instead of providing me with my APK, you deflect. I have to sign in to use it so whats the problem with purchase verification?
The amazon download failed because the CS uses V5.

Have the same problem, I’m keen to use litchi on my android phone now as well as my DJI RC Pro - did buy on both IOS and via the Amazon app store for android, but can no longer download via that and the app doesn’t seem to function as needs the companion amazon app for licence i think. The beta does look useful though for the mini 4 pro re the recent SDK release, will have to test that out soon…

At what point will this be available for those of us who purchased in good faith through the Amazon App Store (and need the app store installed to run it, which will be defunct next month)?

Head to your Litchi account page to download the APK which will work even if you don’t have the amazon app store app installed: My Account - Litchi

The APK download link is only available in your account page if you have synced your amazon license of Litchi with your Litchi account.

Please explain the steps to sync litchi & amazon account

Thank you!

Steps to sync your Amazon license with the Litchi server:

  1. Make sure you have the latest Litchi app downloaded from the Amazon app store
  2. Ensure you are logged in to your Litchi account in the app. To connect to your Litchi account in the app, tap on the top left corner mode icon, then scroll to “Log in”
  3. Go to the general Litchi settings then tap on ‘Check and Sync License’ to sync your Amazon license with our servers

How can I get a copy now if I did not already buy it through amazon, only google? I am happy with it on my phone but want to use it on my Smart Controller

Currently you cannot get Litchi for Smart Controller if you did not buy it prior to the Amazon app store shutting down. We hope to make it available to purchase on our website in the future weeks/months but it’s not ready yet.

I am really glad to hear that! I have been so happy with Litchi on android and look forward to being able to install it on the SC. I am also really stoked that Litchi Pilot can do mapping missions now too. Will it ever be ported to the SC?

Litchi Pilot is built with the latest DJI SDK and is only compatible with the latest drone models and RCs. Smart Controller is not compatible with these.

However you can use the new Hub to plan mapping flights and execute them using the older Litchi app.
