Waypoints & pano pictures

Can you setup a waypoint then once there have it take pano pictures? I’m using an Mavic Air 2s & a smart controller (ie android)

I agree. Would be very interesting.

yeah it should be possible to implement as other 3rd party software, that uses the DJI SDK does do this

You can with the ‘Panorama Preset’ Action button in Waypoint Settings.
However it wil take only 7 photos at the current gimbal tilt angle.

It is not possible to do 360 spherical panoramas as such in a waypoint mission.

You could try the following:

-Create 6 waypoints at the same coordinates but alternate their heights by plus & minus 1 meter.
Path Mode must be set to “Straight Lines”.
Waypoint Actions:
*At WP1 tilt the camera at -90° and take 2 nadirs (photos) in opposite directions.
-Tilt Camera -90°
-Rotate Aircraft 0°
-Take Photo
-Rotate Aircraft 180°
-Take Photo
-Tilt Camera -76°
*At WP2 Take 7 photos then tilt the camera at -62°
-‘Panorama Preset’ button
-Tilt Camera -62°
*At WP3 Take 7 photos then tilt the camera at -35°
-‘Panorama Preset’ button
-Tilt Camera -35°
*At WP4 Take 7 photos then tilt the camera at -8°
-‘Panorama Preset’ button
-Tilt Camera -8°
*At WP5 Take 7 photos then tilt the camera at +20°
-‘Panorama Preset’ button
-Tilt Camera +20°
*At WP6 Take 7 photos
-‘Panorama Preset’ button

This will result in 37 photos to create a spherical panorama.
For both iOS & Android you have to stitch these photos yourself.
