I did perform the search function but couldn’t find much on the forums.
What I want to do: Buy Mini 5 Pro, with the RC-N3 controller.
Connect the controller through USB to the Android Tablet I’ve been using with Litchi so far.
Plan using the flight hub my flights (as I have been doing so far)
Also the shoot a photo every 5m between waypoints, so I can continue flying at 1 or 2m/s depending on light conditions - that’s also a requirement if that can be done also using the RC-N3 and the mini 5 pro
my flight plans are waypoint missions - including “terrain following” using the litchi hub interface which simply sets different heights for each waypoint.
And then have the litchi app fly the Mini 5 pro through the RC-n3 controller.
Thus far, I have been doing this setup using the Mavic 2 Pro, will it also work with the Mini 5 pro and the RC-N3 controller?
Basically my question is about compatibility with my setup..
The answer to your question regarding using the Litchi app to fly missions is no. As indicated in the link above you can only utilize the DJI KMZ export feature and run the mission in the DJI Fly app. Unless DJI supply’s the SDK no third party app will connect to the drone which means it won’t work. I’m sure many are waiting to see if eventually DJI does support the Mini 5.
yes I read one can simply use the kmz export feature and fly it using the native DJI app.
Which is good enough for me, less optimal but it will work.
I also read, although DJI not yet officially announced, that previous mini pro’s got the SDK released after a while. It took DJI about 1,5 years to release the SDK for the Mini 4 Pro.
So then by the end of this year, we could expect a SDK for the Mini 5 Pro (I hope)
