Litchi app opened once, now fails and reports, "Litchi closed because this app has a bug."

Just paid £24.99 for this app on the Google Play store. It opened once, now fails to stay open and simple reports,“Litchi closed because this app has a bug. Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix for this error.” A device restart makes no difference!
