Are there any plans to add IMU calibration feature? This is a required feature as my drone will not take off without the calibration being done. The lack of this feature renders the app useless. If there are no plans to include this feature then I will have no choice but to request a refund.
IMU calibration is one of the functions that is done by using the appropriate DJI app depending on your model(Go4 or Fly).
As far as I know, that function isnt built into the SDK which would not allow any developer to incorporate IMU calibration into their app.
Litchi isnt a replacement app for the DJI apps. Those apps are still needed.
The DJI app for Android is no longer supported which is why I’m trying to use Litchi. It should be made clear at the point of purchase that this important feature is not supported. As it stands I now have a $40 app that I can’t use. Apparently there is another third party app that supports IMU calibration which tells me it is a part of the SDK.
The Litchi documentation does include a user’s guide which makes clear what functions are supported. A quick search of that documentation does not reveal any mention of IMU calibration. It would be impractical for Litchi to list functions that it does not support. Such a list would have to be updated whenever a feature was added to a DJI drone that Litchi does not (yet) support. Another user has compiled a list of functions for which the DJI app is still required. It may not be 100% complete but should be pretty close:
An IMU calibration should only be necessary in limited circumstances such as a hard crash or the drone malfunctioning in some way. It also requires a level surface. Why is it that you need to re-calibrate the IMU before every flight?
For curiosity sake, what is this other app that can calibrate the IMU?
