If you still have your Phantom (or any other Litchi compatible drone), you could consider “Litchi Magic Leash”. One of the runners would have to carry the 2nd mobile device.
I made a tutorial on how to use Follow Mode with the “Litchi for DJI drones” app:
Your smart device needs to have Location Services turned On.
(iPads without cellular do NOT have a build-in GPS receiver and therefore will NOT work)
First of all check if the Displayed Accuracy is LESS than your set “Minimum Location Accuracy” in AIRCRAFT-Settings, otherwise Follow will NOT work.
Default “Minimum Location Accuracy” is 10 meters.
In the Lithi Pilot app Heading Mode:
-“Course” is called “Adaptive”
-“North” is called “Locked”
