Has anybody run Litchi with a DJi 5 Mini Pro?
I love Litchi on my Mini 2 and hoping it will work with my new Mini 5 pro that I have on order
ALL supported drones are listed on Litchi’s web-page:
Is there the possibility to have a loor at the camera parameters of the DJI Mini 5 pro ?
No, not yet implemented in Litchi Pilot.
I’ve seen that the DJI Mini 5 pro has been implemented in the new version of Litchi HUB. Would be possibile to know that camera parameters ? Thanks.
Camera settings are not yet implemented in Litchi Pilot Beta.
You can set them in DJI Fly, then switch to Litchi Pilot.
In the app tap the Settings Icon (upper right corner)
-Tap “About”
-Tap “Version History”
I guess I was not clear enough. In Litchi Hub there is the possibility to choose DJI Mini 5 Pro. What I mean is to have access to the camera parameters such as width, height, focal lenght ecc. to compute the GSD manually. Thank you.
The FOV of the camera is automatically set when you choose a drone as specified by the specifications of that drone on DJI’s web page.
For the Mini 5 Pro it’s 84° diagonal.
Also have a look at this thread:
I found an article and it appears to be correct. The lens focal length is 8.8mm with a width of 13.2mm and height of 8.8mm. This sounds correct if compared to the Air2S which is a 1” sensor with the same height and width. The only difference is It has a 22mm camera so the focal length is at 8.5mm compared to the 24mm on the Mini 5 at 8.8. I believe this is right. Hope that helps. Enjoy.
it seems it takes about 5 years to never to catch up… so i wouldnt hold my breath… and dont assume if it works on anything else
Thank you. I will have a look at the thread. Thanks also for the actual focal lenght, I will assume 8.8 and than compute the GSD.
Glad to help. Best wishes and enjoy.
That information is AI-generated. AI is notorious for getting facts wrong. AI is very good at writing clarity and grammar but very poor on facts – especially those that are not readily available. I have not yet found a reliable source for either Mavic 4 or Mini 5 sensor details. If you know of one, please let us know.
But the spiral circle doesn’t work for the mini 5 pro?
It’s not clear if you are telling or asking.
The Mini 5 Pro is not compatible with Litchi nor Litchi Pilot.
You can create waypoint missions for the Mini 5 Pro in the old and new Litchi Hub, but only by using the onboard flight engine (DJI Fly Waypoint missions).
The onboard flight engine does not support Orbit/Spiral.
If you want to know more on how to use Litchi waypoint missions using the onboard flight engine (DJI Fly waypoint missions), study the instructions in the “Litchi Waypoint Mission to DJI Waypoint Mission Converter” from @wesbarris:
The new Hub has the option to export a DJI Fly compatible KMZ-file, eliminating the converting step, but all other steps are still mandatory.
I know Wes. As I stated they appear to be correct, I didn’t guarantee them to be absolute. The pilot can use that information or not. The size is based on the actual Air2S camera specs which I know are correct. All camera sensor sizes are indicated in a Dronelink mapping component which is what I use. So they look right compared to the Air2S the only difference being the focal length as mentioned. Any SDK supported drone has the actual sensors sizes indicated in the DL app. If the Mavic 4 Pro’s 4/3 sensor is the same as the Mavic 3 series which I believe it is then maybe this will help.
