I’ve done hours and hours of research on this and learned a lot. Unfortunately a lot of the information I’ve found has proven to be false and I’m at a loss. The best info I have found has been on these forums, so I’m hoping a Litchi expert can get me a final answer.
I’m using the Mavic 4 Pro with RC2 controller. I need to be able to create waypoint flights with curved transitions from point to point. Through the Litchi beta hub I was finally able to export a file that I can transfer to the RC2, but it won’t allow curved transitions, resulting in video that isn’t smooth with an obvious “hitch” at every waypoint.
I really love the Litchi hub, and I realize the compatibility issues with DJI’s implementation of WPML. So, is there any way to create curved flight paths in Litchi that will work with DJI Fly?
First, we have to establish correct terminology. There is no such thing as “curved transitions”. The global setting that are available include:
Path Mode: Smooth Curves, Curved Turns, Straight
Heading Mode: Follow Path, Transition, Locked, etc.
I’m guessing that what you want is the “Smooth Curves” path mode. You probably also want to use the “Transition” heading mode. These should both be available (and supported) in all DJI Fly drones with native waypoints.
After selecting those and transferring the mission to a Mavic 4 Pro, if you are experiencing something other than smooth curves and linear heading transitions from one waypoint to the next, respond here with a description of your flight.
