Hey, any update on this? The waypoint button on my RC1 Controller is missing, but I know it was there previously. Help!

Would you clarify what drone and app you are using? You mention the “RC1” controller. If that’s the case, you are either flying with a Mini 3 or an Air 2s. It also suggests that you are using the DJI Fly app.
Is it a physical button that you cannot find or a button in the interface of the software (DJI Fly).

I am using the RC1 Controller in junction with the Mini 3 drone. That remote uses the DJI Fly App as far as I know, but I do not use the app on an additional phone.
In the past, I was able to create waypoint missinos on the remote, but the icon on the RC1 display for waypoints is no longer present. It was just above the takeoff button. It is missing with and without a drone connected.
When I last created a waypoint mission, i first created a dummy mission on the remote and then overrode the mission file with one created in litchi.
The DJI Mini 3 does not have native waypoints. They only way to fly waypoint missions using a Mini 3 is with Litchi Pilot installed on a tablet or phone and using the RC-N1.
You could not have had that waypoint icon displayed in DJI Fly on a DJI RC with the Mini 3. Could you be confusing this with another drone?
I don’t own any other drone. The only othe possibility is, that I read about waypoint missions for so long, that I fabricated the memory of using them. But that seems somewhat strange to me.
Even if you saw it, that does not change the fact it won’t work with Mini 3. Use Litchi Pilot: [OPEN BETA] Litchi Pilot
I did get in touch with the DJI Support as well, they did confirm that this is impossible and never was a feature. So it seems I indeed fabricated a memory of something that never happend. Thank you both for dealing with me and sorry for your troubles!

After further investigation, we need to provide you with an important clarification: Unfortunately, the DJI Mini 3 does not support waypoint mission functionality at all — neither through the DJI Fly app nor through the RC1 controller. This is a hardware and firmware limitation of this specific model.
