I started a new mission using the default settings: 30m altitude, “above takeoff.”
Then I placed some waypoints on the map.
Next, I changed the cruising altitude to 120m and set it to “above ground.”
It shows me what’s in the screenshot.
Shouldn’t it show 164m ATL since I haven’t marked a Home Point?
My understanding is that DJI Fly, with the Mavic 3, only measures altitudes relative to the Home Point, so it seems essential to set a Home Point beforehand.
What happens if you don’t do that but have set “Ground level”?
What happens if you select a different Home Point in the field?
Thanks
Without a home point set, Litchi will always show the AGL and ATL heights to be equal at WP1. It has to assume that the elevation of your take-off location matches that of the ground under WP1. If you do set a take-off location (and are using AGL heights), all waypoint heights will be adjusted with the difference between the elevation under the current waypoint and that of the take-off location.

Therefore, if a different home point is chosen on the field, care must be taken with the difference in height between the theoretical and actual home points, as this influences the actual height of all the waypoints. Is that so?
That is correct. I have more information here:
