Sorry Wes I forgot to answer your question: Were you standing at a location near the bottom of that image?
I certainly was not standing near the bottom of the image so your hope has been fulfilled …had I been doing that I would have been standing in another body of water…
Unfortunately, while all answers are replies, not all replies are answers. You have not answered any of the questions being asked.
We still haven’t seen your missions as Sam had asked. We still don’t know the size of your mission in spacial terms. We don’t know the terrain. We don’t know how far you were from the parts of the mission where you had problems. “Not too far” is not a meaningful answer. The photos you posted don’t provide any scale or distance.
Statements like the following don’t tell us anything useful:
We don’t know what you are looking at and looking at before a flight doesn’t tell us anything.
Until you provide meaningful details, no one will be able to help and all you will receive is guesses.
BTW: I guess you and no one else who was complaining about my responses ever read my terrain description which I posted yesterday or the day before. There is nothing above 4 feet in height at this time of year (dead swamp grass and cattails and there are no trees…(can’t you ascertain that from the photos) your belief of transmission problems is misguided. The closest structure is at least 1/2 mile away and that’s an abandoned farmhouse. I have also mentioned I’ve been photographing the two sites for a museum exhibition, and a book for almost 3 years…releasing much material would not be prudent as what I’ve captured in the different seasons and over the three years is quite captivating. This time of year for both sites is the most mundane since change is somewhat stagnant with the exception of when there is snow. I’ve also previously written that the other site is close to double waypoints and distance and I’ve not had any issues with it with Litchi’s released version. Perhaps at least something I’ve communicated to you and others is tied to code. I did not reload the program today but I guess from now on before any more testing if there is any I will always reload the software prior to each flight. I’ll be gone the rest of March for the Dakotas and New Mexico with a European client beginning Monday. If my NVIDIA I’ll buy Litchi and bring some new coders on board. Ha Ha Ha Take Care
Your quote “The two drones that you are using handle waypoint missions completely differently”
Here to me is something more important I get 8 to 10 satellites more with (26-27) satellites with the RC Pro and Mini 3 Pro than I do with either the RC or Smart RC with the 2S or Mavic 2 Pro. (16-18) satellites yet the results are better with the fewer satellites …please think about why that is…I never launch the Mini Pro 3 without 27 satellites showing at both the site I’m using for the tests…
The most likely reason for screen/ui flicker issues is that DJI Fly is running in the background and is continuously fighting Litchi to “take control” of the drone’s connection. When using the RC Pro especially, this is something you should be aware of.
To solve it, before starting Litchi, go the the RC Pro device Settings => Apps => DJI Fly => Force Stop
For the red cast, I am not sure but Litchi Pilot itself does not specify any color adjustments, what you get is what comes out of the camera basically
Thanks for your response, when I first started testing I was not aware of “Force Stop”. I could not even launch however Wes pointed this out to me and someone else was kind enough to show where that is actually done. I now religiously make sure"Force Stop" is always off. Each time I fly prior to initiating Litchi Pilot I check that it’s done. Again thanks for making that suggestion about
what you thought the cause is but I can assure you with complete certainty that I always check that “Force Stop” has been activated for DJI FLY.
Do you have any other apps installed on the RC Pro that can connect to the drone? When we’ve had the flicker issue before, it’s always been due to a background app - in general DJI’s own app, but it could be other apps you may have installed.
I will certainly check for that…it is something I was just thinking about after your first query. I think the best way for me to assure that nothing else is running would be to delete all the other apps except DJI Fly and Litchi Pilot…thanks for that suggestion…I will post once I’ve flown again and let you know if that makes any difference as far as what’s been happening. I did three missions yesterday but the issue of the screen going completely dark except for My flight Plan (see photo previously posted) only occurred during the second flight there were no problems on the first and third. I also did a flight with Litchi release version with a DJI 2S between the first and second Litchi Pilot missions with no issues and the controller and drone from that mission were of course off when I tried second Pilot flight. Thanks again for your comments and suggestions. I realize it’s difficult from afar for all of you to offer meaningful support and I appreciate your efforts. I did install Photoshop Lite which knowing Adobe somewhat from being a beta tester for them years ago may be continually monitoring the program. I’ll delete that now. I know I was not actively using anything during flight but Adobe “enjoys” background activities.
