So I’ve split the area to be surveyed at first into 12 smaller boxes.
Now I’ve created a big one out of 4 times 3 boxes, but the 1 I already did I left out of the kml file.
Litchi however generates for the area mapping the flight-path to include the area which I excluded from the kml.
Could the algorithm be adjusted to skip areas which are not inside the kml?
Thank you
I think it’s just the most efficient way Litchi figures the mission can be done, in terms of time and battery consumption. Maybe create separate missions?
The mission is set 1m/s and all waypoints use mission settings per default.
I might tend to agree if the speed over the not to be surveyed area would significantly increase, but that’s a strong emphasis on might because even with speeding up I doubt, since it’s flying 200m without survey, that this would be better for the battery than flying 5-10m to the next mission line south.
So from my perspective it’s most likely wasting batteries.
But yes indeed of course I split it up seeing how the mission is being planned by default. That’s why I report it here, if I have to split it manually into 2 separated missions to optimize the flight, then clearly the mission planner can be optimized, hence my report here
