Phantom 3 Standard Still stuck under Geofence

Does anyone know how to get a current fly safe database onto a Phantom 3 Standard. I’ve watched many videos and tried a couple of forums but so far nothing seems to work.

Bought Litchi hoping that might make a difference but it didn’t.

The problem is that I live under Class D airspace. The Phantom will take off if I use the button on the app. But it will just hover in one place and does not respond to stick commands once airborne hovering. I can land it using the button in the app. Since it’s able to maintain a stable hover at about 4 feet, I know there’s nothing mechanically or electronically wrong.

All firmware and apps have been updated to the latest available stuff for the Phantom 3, it’s got to be that geofencing/Fly Safe database issue. I’ve tried connecting to my home wifi and Phantom wifi at the same time but that doesn’t work. I’ve tried it on three android devices all of them disconnect the home wifi as soon as connect to the Phantom’s wifi.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

The real question is:
Did DJI release an unrestricted Basic Fly Safe Database for the DJI GO app?
You will have to contact DJI for that.

On my device it’s version number is 01.00.01.09

That’s the version I have as well. So, I wonder what else could be keeping my sticks locked?? I also wonder if Litchi has any remedies for this geofencing issue that’s plagued more than just me and other older phantom 3 owners.

Obviously v01.00.01.09 is NOT unrestricted!

NO, Only DJI

As I wrote before: You have to contact DJI.

Hi John George. Just some thoughts and suggestions to eliminate the possible issue. When in an Geo Zone the motors should not even start just like when using the DJI app. Have you tried with the DJI app and does the enhanced warning zone message come up ? If so once agreed to assume responsibility can you start the motors and fly with the DJI app at that same location. Since the mission starts but then just hovers it is possible there is something in the plans set up which it doesn’t recognize and will not allow it to actually execute. Usually when this happens there should be a pop up window with an error but not always. I would also try fly a plan you know works which you have flown before. You won’t need to fly the entire mission because all you will be doing is testing whether or not the mission will actually execute and start flying at that same location. Maybe this will help to narrow down the issue. Good luck.
