I want to activate the Pause/Resume Mission key in the middle of a wait action, so that I can reposition for a better still photo. If I then resume, will the wait action continue from the point it was stopped? Or does the mission jump directly to the next action?
Yes.
However, you can’t yaw the drone during this pause, even if Heading mode set to Manual (UC).
You can tilt the gimbal when Gimbal Pitch is set to Disabled.

Ran a test case, pressed Pause in the middle of a Wait action, the sticks are “dead” and can’t move the drone in any direction. I had hoped to use a script to get into rough position, then invoke Pause during a Wait and fine tune position, then Resume back to the script to take the photo. Apparently can’t achieve that, the drone position is locked during Pause.
