No Internet mission

Hi Folks: I plan to fly a mission using the Litchi App. I have created the mission and saved it.

The mission involves a starting point and finishing point with no internet. During the mission I am likely to lose contact with the Drone. Phantom 3 Standard connecting with Litchi via Apple I phone. A four minute drive prior to launch point does give me Internet access. Somewhere on here I have read the correct things to follow as to how to execute this mission. But that was some months back. So I will seek advice on here before executing said mission. Here is what I can maybe recall

  1. Go to the position where I have Internet Access. Open the App. Open saved Folder. Locate mission. Open. Which brings up load option. Now do I just drive to my launching point fire up Drone. Hit load and commence mission or do I have to power Drone up back at place where I had I Internet and load mission there and then drive to launching point with Drone powered up. Arrive and Take Off and start mission. I have No problems with losing connection to Drone during mission as after reading here. That It will carry out mission as that is saved by the Drone itself. Scenario is I am taking off from side of road flying over open paddocks/meadow. Then turning behind a low hill (40 metres which is where I will may be lose connection. Drone will then fly my Way Points which is over a river only accessible by boat. and return. I wish to video this section of the river in connection with gold prospecting which is a hobby of mine. If What I see is favourable. Exposed Bedrock. I will mount a mission in my inflatable boat to the area and do a hands on. Google Earth does not give me a good enough visual. My way points are all at 40 metres. I am using Above Ground on the mission.

Thanking you. Trev. (New Zealand)

When the mission you want to fly is available on your phone (check at home), you don’t need internet at all to fly that mission.

In other words:
You ONLY need an internet connection to synchronise waypoint missions between the Mission Hub and your flying device (phone).

Thanking you Tri Bar. Using AI I found you also answered this question for someone else back in 2022. That was the post I had previously found but with my memory just couldn’t recall where I had seen it. So now my bit of apprehension for this mission has been sorted. I’ll head up in a couple of days. With the current gold price I’m looking at coming out of retirement from my gold mining days. And good days they were. In those days I underwater dredged. Now at almost 80 so that’s beyond me. But this area is above water. Been exposed by previous floods. So easy work just sitting on my bum digging out cracks in the bedrock. I know they will have gold in em. How much well I’m gunna find out. Cheers and thank you again Tribar.
