No Connection - Litchi + RC Pro + Mavic Pro 3

The Mavic 3 series drones are NOT compatible with Litchi !!

If you need to use a third-party drone app with your Mavic 3 series drone, you should research the different apps available and choose the one that best meets your needs.

The research would result in this:
‘Darn! There are no 3rd party apps available, because DJI has not released a SDK that will allow app developers to write apps that will work with the Mavic 3 Pro.’

Hopefully, DJI will release an SDK for the Mavic 3 Pro in the near future. This would allow third-party developers to create apps that can unlock the full potential of the drone.

Bang on, reallly can’t understand why people don’t do more research

Highly unlikely to happen, I mean they didn’t even add the mini2 SE to an SDK and that’s pretty much the same as a mini2 which is the last drone in that class that can reliably be used with 3rd party software

so i found a cool workaround for creating a waypoint grid (also uses straight line and no curves!!) on your desktop and then import it into the dji fly app. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k9uwlP-x5Q
i tried it with a few simple missions today and it was working!

this method and the fly app timelaps mode is a good workaround for photogrammetry and it works very well. did already a few bigger 3D models and they look good

While its not a Litchi solution, as a work around until or if ever, DJI releases an SDK for Mavic 3 (not the Enterprise, not the mini 3) such as Classic, Pro, etc, turns out you can “stack” waypoints with DJI Missions.

Its not as clean or as easy vs using Litchi, however you can do a mission and do multiple actions, each requires a wpt, for example, start at wpt 1, camera action take photo, wait 1 sec, then wpt at same location (note DJI does not yet support enter dms coordinates, or, insert new wpt), create another wpt, camera action start rec, wait 1 sec (if needed), go to new location with next wpt, camera action stop rec, wait 1 sec, new wpt same location, camera action take photo, wait 1 sec if needed, new wpt same location, camera action start rec, wait 1 sec if needed, then move to next location, etc, repeat until done.

Its not clean, its kludgy, inserting a new wpt at same location is a PITA (have found using a touch screen pen helps), also getting straight lines is tricky, have not found limit of wpts yet, however in lieu of not having SDK support and thus litchi, its not the best, however its a workaround.
