My flight plan keeps being suspended because of max altitude reached

So I’m using the Litchi hub to plan a flight, works perfectly. I upload it to my DJI RC2 smart controller without any issues. But when I go to the location with my Lito X1, take off and start the waypoint mission the controller says maximum altitude reached, flight suspended. Even at 1m or 2m altitude. Yeah I’m using metric because I’m Dutch…

So is this an 1D 10T error or is there another explanation?

What is your max altitude set to? What is a “1D10T” error? You may need to share your mission and the flight log for that flight.

It spells idiot…as in maybe I’m doing something wrong.

max altitude in controller is set to 120m, the legal maximum altitude in EU. In my waypoints altitude is between 3m and 120m.

I’d have to look for the flight log. Sorry newbie here. You mean share the flight plan?

There you go, lower the altitudes of 120m to (something like) 115m.

So the answer turned out to be the 1D10T error. Your tip about the altitude did the trick. In hindsight it makes sense. Thanks for your tip.

Yesterday was the first day in 2 weeks the conditions were favorable after weeks of strong winds and heavy rain.

It also happens to me.

The point is that my plan has no points over 120 meters of the terrain, but it’s 120 meters over the home point, which is what Litchi really limits.

So on sloped terrain you get limited. You can have as a home point the highest point, but thats just a way to survive.

I thinks there’s a problem in the configuration.

In my case, as I plan missions with dronegrid I also have to modify the csv.

Litchi Mission hub undertand the flight altitude also as a distance above the terrain, not the level above sea.

Would be nice to solve this problems.

Actually, it is the drone that limits the height above take-off. Litchi’s limit is 500 meters over take-off. Even though you may be planning a mission using the “Above Ground” option, the drone is only able to determine its height above take-off.

There is no problem in Litchi’s configuration. Depending on what country you are in, you may be able to use the DJI app (Fly or Go4) to increase the drone’s limit. That limit is stored in the drone. Then, a Litchi mission will be able to fly under that increased limit that is stored in the drone.

Litchi uses an elevation API to calculate the above-ground height based on the ground elevation under WP1 or the specified take-off location. The Mission Hub will display the specified above-ground heights but internally, Litchi uses the calculated above take-off heights. Also, Litchi does not reference or use anything related to sea level.

Use the DJI app to increase the maximum height that is stored in the drone.
