Missions>download question

When I click on the “MISSIONS” button in Mission Hub - Litchi, I am presented with various options, one of which is “Download”. When I click on the download icon for a mission, I am given the opportunity to save a file. However, no file extension for the file is given. My questions are:

  1. What type of file am I saving?
  2. What can I do with the file after I have saved it?
    Thanks for reading

There is no “Download” menu item in Litchi’s Mission Hub. Litchi does not provide such an option:
Capture

If you are seeing a “Download” menu item, it would suggest that you may have a browser extension installed that added it. Check to see what extensions you have installed. If you find the “offending” extension, check its documentation.

Does the VLM extension add a “Download” menu item?

A litchi specific waypoint mission file

Anything you want:
-backup purpose
-copy to phone/tablet
-rename

  • and so on…

Thanks @Yordie. I’m not sure if that was what the OP meant. He did say:

However, the “Download” button is in the “Open” dialog. The file downloaded is a binary file. There doesn’t appear to be any way to “Upload” it. That doesn’t make it of much use as a backup or anything else.

It’s very easy on android devices.

I use the download on a regular basis for making backups and cleaning up missions (keeping the list managable).

Whenever i want to fly other mission than those on the list in the hub or the device i simply copy them from the backup location to my android device:

LITCHI Missions (Adroid version):
/Phone/Android/data/com.aryuthere.visionplus/files/missions/_users/???
LITCHI Pois:
\Phone\Android\data\com.aryuthere.visionplus\files\pois

Thanks for the help, everyone.
I was confused because of the lack of a suggested file extension by the dialog.
