Curious if or when Litchi will support the Matric 4 line of drones?
It will be added in the next build which we are working on
Hi Vico,
I have a few questions about the Matrice 4 (and Mini 4 Pro, now that it is also supported in the latest MSDK).
- Will the Mini 4 Pro also be supported in the Litchi Pilot app?
- Will waypoints be implemented using “Virtual Stick” or “Native” waypoints (for those drones with native waypoints)?
- How will you handle the fact that the latest DJI waypont implementation has the flight path passing through each waypoint (using a Catmull Rom spline) and Litchi’s Mission Hub uses straight lines with quadratic splines for the curves? Will one have to specify the drone model in the Mission Hub so that the “correct” flight path can be shown?
- We will add Matrice 4 and Mini 4 Pro support shortly to the beta
- We can’t say until our Mini 4 Pro arrives, but we’ll add both if we can
- You will be able to choose which drone model and waypoint engine you want to plan your flight for and the options/path will be adjusted accordingly

As an update, can confirm that Mini 4 Pro does support the DJI waypoint engine / onboard waypoints, and it can continue the flight even with no signal to RC.
Excellent. That is good to know. It’s the first drone since the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom that should have smooth waypoint flights.
In our testing (admittedly with low wind), both modes were smooth. So I think there have been improvements also for the virtual joystick mode.
