i am sure this has been asked… but i seem to get lost in the many different ways of converting the WP from LITCHI to easily transfer / upload to my DJI RC controler for the mini pro 4 and Mavic 3 pro with RC pro . Thnanks
I have created a utility that is used to convert a Litchi waypoint mission into a KMZ file that can be imported into DJI Fly.
Hello Wes,
I finallyhad the chance to try out your converter and that is working extremely well, so I would like to take advantage of this msg to just thank you for the wonderful work and the chance to still use Litchi with the Mini 4.
I have also a question on the conversion: in Litchi I usually prepare 2 verson for each mission, the first one is the standard way, with POIs well defined and Gimball Pitch mode set to “focus” on a particular WP. The second version is what I call a “FREE” mission, in other words I set the heading to “manual”, and set the Gimball Pitch setting to “Disabled” so that, with my Mavic Zoom I can regain total control of the camera (pith focus and zoom) while the drone is still following the pathway pre-defined. Now Whean I have converted such “free” version of the mission to DJI nothing has changed, the mini still followed the focus to specific POIs and I had no access to the gimball pith and camera movements. Now I was thinking to just delete the POIs, set the POI option to “None” and the Gimball Pitch option to “Disabled” , and then convert to DJI…could that work or you can suggest a more promising strategy to obtain a “free” version of the mission in DJI, having the chance to actually move gimball camera and rotate the aricraft as wished while still following the mission pathway ? Thank you in advance, and again thanks a lot for the unvaluable tool you have provided !
In Litchi, the manual heading setting is a global option and not written to the CSV file. Therefore, I am not able to tell from the CSV file that the headings should be set to manual.
If the gimbal pitch is set to manual, that is written to the CSV file. I’ll have to check to see how I handle that.
I’ll have to think about how to convert to a manual heading mission.
All right,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply, just let me know if you reach some insight in that, would be nice (form me) to be able to perform a manual headng mission, O focurse I am ready to beta test any temporary solutions you thnk could work !
I have added a new “Heading Mode” option to the “Litchi to DJI Fly” converter. If you specify “Manual”, you should be able to manually control the heading. Please test.
If you don’t have manual control over the gimbal pitch angle, create a simple mission in DJI Fly where the gimbal is set to manual and then send that mission to me so that I can examine it.
Wow !!
This is REAL TIME Feedback I guess
Yup I see the manual option now, will try it out and get back to you ASAP.
Anyhow, THANK YOU very much for the quickest reply ever !
Hello Wes,
A very brief message to let you know that I had the chance this morning to test a manual waypoint mission and now everything is working as expected, I was able to change the heading and had full control on the Gmbal pitch as well.
Again thank you very much for your amazing work on this, really really appreciated !
