Litchi Hub question

I have the user guide for the old litchi hub…is there one for the new hub? Also, what’s the difference between curves and smooth curves,

“Curved turns” refers to the way Litchi historically created curved missions. The waypoints define a bounding box connected with straight lines with curves of the specified size added to the mission at the waypoints. This method results in the flight path not passing through the interior waypoints.

“Smooth Curves” refers to DJI’s new method of creating a flight path that passed through each waypoint. This method may result in a flight path that travels outside of the bounding box defined by the waypoints.

Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. The two methods are described in more detail here:

Very well done explanation which leads me to another question. Since camera actions don’t work with curved lines since they never actually reach the waypoints does this mean they should work with smooth curves since they do pass through waypoints? I’m sure the answer is no but I’m wondering.

I think I remember reading that the folks at Litchi are looking to enable actions with curved-turn missions. I don’t know what the status of that is. I’m pretty sure that the latest DJI drones can perform actions with (smooth) curved missions.

Actions work with all path modes (straight, curved turns and smooth curves) in Litchi Pilot (Mini 3 and newer drone models). The drone will stop at the waypoint/middle of curve if actions require it. If there is only one action and it’s not a ‘Hover’ action then it will be executed on the fly without stopping.

With the older app, actions don’t work with curved turns except for the 1st and last waypoints.
