As visible on this screenshot - I made my own images to easily locate data and select my flights.
I find numbers A LOT easier to work with than images which are so small that many look the same anyway.
So can I please request to NOT overwrite my own images?
If other users still prefer things to happen in the back beyond their control, that’s great, just make it a checkbox (and remember the choice of the user) then both overwriting the images or not overwriting can be set per user preference.
I think it’s safe to assume the number of pilots creating their own waypoint images is close to 0? It seems to me that adding such setting would cause more confusion for most users than anything else? Some people might turn it off without knowing what it really does, losing functionality in the process.
Instead, we’d prefer if you suggest better ways to keep track of flights and maybe we can implement that.
Regarding not being able to see the preview because it’s too small, we just pushed a change in Litchi Hub, where you can now zoom in on a DJI Fly waypoint preview image to see more details.
my problem isn’t with the Litchi hub, but with the display size of the RC.
I can’t recognize the flights on the RC display, because it’s too small.
And since we can’t control the naming on android (RC is running android) I figured then I simply do it using the images and give them a number.
The best solution is of course being able to use the Litchi Hub names and overwrite the default RC names, but that’s impossible as I understand as we don’t have access to these names.
Anyway if overwriting the images is desired - that’s fine - then I won’t use the bridge app and simply manually copy paste all files.
A lot of extra work, but then at least I know what I’m doing and simply maintain a spreadsheet file to avoid confusion.
Thanks anyway, it’s only temporarily since the Mini 3 pro API were released 12months after release and the Mini 4 pro API were released 18months after release..
So some time between Sep 2026 and Feb 2027 I expect then also the Mini 5 pro API to be released and then I can just the Litchi app again as with the Mavic - and the Litchi app is by far the best on the market IMHO..
Until then I simply manually copy the waypoint files.
Thanks for the litchi project and please do keep maintaining it.
That’s why i edited the waypoint mission images simply with a number, easy to recognize.
Litchi Hub Smart Export overwrites the preview image with the Litchi flight name, this is meant to help you find the flight. However since DJI Fly uses a cache for preview images (that we can’t clear), it can happen that DJI shows the old preview image still even after overwrite. The way to avoid this problem is by creating the dummy just before overwriting it (see step 2 in the guide at [GUIDE] How to use Litchi Hub with DJI Fly / SkyRover). If you do that, then the preview image will update to the Litchi Hub preview image correctly, plus the dummy will have been just created making it easy to find anyway since it’s the first one in the list in DJI Fly.
In the latest bridge updates (2.0.1 windows and 2.0 mac), you can now do that by editing the Hub Bridge config.
Windows: add the property “skipPreviewImageOverwrite”: true to this file on your computer: C:\Users\[User Account]\AppData\Local\Litchi Hub Bridge\settings.json
