It won't take pictures no matter what I do!

I have read and tryed about everything to have my professional 3 fly waypoints and take pictures at poi period, I really need help with this. I got to take a picture at way points, but it did not focus on poi, it just took it straight ahead. Thanks Sam

Did you read the Online User Guide:

Set Heading & Gimbal Pitch to “Point of Interest” in both Mission- & Waypoint Settings..

Without knowing more details about how your mission is configured, it is difficult to provide you with a solution. There are many situations that might cause this.

If I had to guess, since you said “it just took it straight ahead”, it might be that you have your “Heading Mode” set to “Follow Path” (new Mission Hub) or “Auto” (old Mission Hub). Instead, you should set your “Heading Mode” to “Point of Interest” (new Mission Hub) or “Custom” (old Mission Hub). Similar changes would have to be made to the “Gimbal Pitch Mode”.

If this doesn’t help, you either need to share your mission or provide more details about it.

So here is what I have figured out, if I open an old file, load it and move the way points where I need them for another job, they point to the POI. But not take pictures automatically. And when I do a brand new job only the last way point, points to the POI I have selected. This is on my desktop. So I just did this on my iPad, I’ll fly in the morning and see what happens and I’ll report back

It all depends on how you have the mission configured. When you have one that doesn’t work as expected, make it public and share the URL here.

Thanks Wes, here are two links

points but no pictures, made this with my iPad

Thanks for the help

In the old Mission Hub you will need to select “Missions” → “Open” and then uncheck the “Private” checkbox. That will make these links work.

I also just figured out that if I use a browser to view or manage a flight it cancels the waypoint look at the poi!

It didn’t matter several years ago, but does now?

Thanks

Sam

Sorry wesbarris didn’t understand that I opened these

After seeing the first mission that you posted, it confirms that my first response to you was correct.

Your clue should have been that the waypoint icons were not pointing at your POIs.

Thanks Wes, so now I using the beta they point to the poi. , but still does not take pictures, can you see the mission setup? I really need the pictures in the same spot for two years contract.

I have figured out how get focus on poi, went to the beta version. But it will not take pictures based on feet or seconds. Years passed it would do the pictures, I can manually take them, and do video manually, but auto function will not work. Thanks ahead sam

You shared two different missions from the old hub. Now you are saying you are the “beta”. Are you referring to the beta Hub? Mission Hub version 2? Or Litchi Pilot (beta)? What drone are you using? Without knowing which hub you are using and what drone, it’s a bit difficult to answer your questions.

OK, so I could not make the old mission hub point to poi. So I tryed the litchi hub, I found where it supported my dji professional 3 drone. I set up a few missions and it Flys them perfectly but does not take any pictures automatically, I can take pictures manually . I can do video but I start and stop that manually So I as scoured the instructions and on the app, and I am pretty sure I have have the settings correct. But the again I could be missing something. Thanks Sam

I’ve explained how to fix this in my very first post in this thread.

Both are called the “Mission Hub”. There is the old/original Mission Hub. Now we also have access to the new “Mission Hub (version 2)”, currently in beta.

It is still not clear what drone you have. There is a DJI Mavic 3 Pro and a DJI Mini 3 Pro which seem to fit your description. I’m guessing you have a Mini 3 Pro.

When I fly missions with distance intervals, they are always straight-line missions. You might want to set your mission config to be straight-line and give it one more test.

Just thought of something else.

If you are using a Mavic 3 Pro, photo intervals won’t work as DJI Fly does not support them.

My aircraft is a dji phantom professional 3 pictured below.

It flew missions great a few years back. And I have aways had my heading set to POI. Sorry I hadn’t explained that, but on the

Mission hub, when created a mission and put the focus on the POI it would not not look at them. But when I used my iPad and made a mission on, it the focus on the POI worked. After all that I thought I’ll try the next generation litchi hub and it works better and lot of information…. Put I still can’t get pictures taken automatically, I can push the camera button so far the only way so far.

Thanks for hanging in there with me. Sam

Does your drone automatically starts recording video when it takes off?

It did once when I had auto record selected, haven’t tryed it since I have been using the beta. Sam
