I have started using Litchi Hub for 3D photogrammetry missions with my DJI Mavic 4 Pro. It works perfectly and even better with the June 2026 update. However when I create a large project with around 2500 waypoints/photos the DJI export to multiple KMZ files seems to stop exporting files when it gets to 10 files with around 150 photos per file. There should be around 16 files for this sized project. It happens with Brave browser on a PC or Opera browser on Android. For now I will create smaller 3D missions. I am hoping this issue is fixed one day. Thanks and keep up the great work. I love it ![]()
Are you using Litchi Hub Bridge to transfer the flights to DJI Fly? Or are you downloading them to your computer and manually transferring them?
I have used Litchi Hub Transfer with my Windows laptop and RC 2 Pro for smaller projects and it works great. However it was a hassle carrying a laptop so I am trying to do everything with an Android tablet or directly within the DJI RC Pro (Mavic 3 Pro) and DJI RC 2 Pro (Mini 5 Pro and Mavic 4 Pro). I am running Opera and CX File Explorer on both controllers and Litchi Hub runs perfectly on these controllers. Just when I go to save the KMZ file, it splits the KMZ files into multiple files into the download directory, but stops exporting files at the 10th file. I tested it on a PC browser (Brave) and it did the same thing. I then use Android CX File Explorer to copy to the DJI Fly Mission folder and rename the KMZ file. I hope this makes sense. On another note, it would be great if you can develop an Android Bridge app to copy from Litchi Hub on Android to an existing Waypoint mission in DJI Fly. Thanks
Hi Brett. I’d be curious to see if switching to Firefox browser would help when using your PC, Laptop or Tablet. I’ve never used Opera or Brave but Firefox has been tested by another app developer and proven to work better than Chrome, Safari and some other browsers. It may not help but can’t hurt to try. All the other issues I can’t speak for but I’m sure if there is something Litchi can do to help they will. It’s always suggested on Larger missions to split them up into smaller segments as you have already mentioned. There is a lot of information to digest so hopefully Litchi can help further. Enjoy.
Mobile chrome (android) does seem to limit at 10 downloads.
Worked for me on desktop chrome though (windows, tested with 12).
We will try to find a solution - one possibility is to zip however that does add one extra step to the already very lengthy manual process, so far from ideal.
A bridge app for android is not a priority because android is actually very closed in terms of letting third party apps write into another app’s storage location. I’m not sure it’s even possible anymore with android 11+. Funnily enough iOS would probably be easier.
You are right about Firefox, it worked perfectly and it exported all 17 KMZ files. It worked both on Windows and on the DJI RC Pro 2 controller (android). On the DJI controller I found it best to configure for full screen (select Litchi button) so that you can see Litchi’s icons. I tried Brave on Windows and Vivaldi on Windows and both stopped exporting at 10 files. One big difference I noticed is that Firefox downloads the 17 files at once. The other browsers ask you to confirm each file. Thanks for your help.Firefox solves my problem. Cheers ![]()
Glad to hear it worked. I been using Firefox for about 20 years. When I started using third party apps for my drones i can’t remember a time when it didn’t work great. Chrome has so much garbage that the performance isn’t anywhere as good as well. Enjoy.
I don’t understand why you can’t decide the number of points to export.
I use a Mini 5 Pro, and 150 points is really too few. The Mini 5 Pro and RC2 can handle 500 points without any problems.
I would make a function that allows you to decide how many files to split it into, choosing 150 points, 200 points, 300 points, etc. There’s no point in creating so many files.
