iPhone - No available Signal

I have an iphone 7+ without sim card, exclusively for use with my Air2s and Litchi.

Normally I go to the Mission site, bluetooth the 7+ to my normal, on-belt iPhone 12 as a hotspot, log the 7+ into Mission Hub, download the pre-planned mission I want, and have previously set up on the PC, and fly it.

Worked fine until I went to a location and there was no mobile signal so I couldn’t log into Mission hub and download the Mission… So-o-o go home and think!

OK, I have it set it up at home on the PC. , I can log the 7+ phone into the PC’s Wifi. I can download the mission to the 7+. Providing I don’t log out and power down the 7+ will everything work for me at the no signal location – providing I fly that day - or within the mission time and 7+ battery life?

Will I have the cached map too?

I intend to try it out in next day or so but does anyone have a feel for this please and any unforeseen risks .

Yes, you can even power off the 7+.

All missions synced between the Litchi Hub and the Litchi app on the 7+, and the cached maps are stored on the 7+ and will stay there even when you power it off.

In fact you should never log out of either the hub or the app, that way all missions wil auto sync when you connect the 7+ to the internet and then start the Litchi app.
The missions in the hub are stored on a Litchi server (cloud) and are available anywhere where an internet connection is available.

Ahh! Thank youTriBar
Who said it was difficult

TriBar - I ran a trial yesterday - very successful Thank you
The caveat, as you said, is that I must remain logged in whether power on or off on 7+. Logging out must delete all data about missions.
Then add a couple of other learnings from this forum and it was most succesful.

Those learnings were to use “Auto Record”, and eliminate the 2 second delay I’d been putting in to enable Record ON and OFF at first and last waypoint. That, complemented with Curved Turns, gave a complete Video…
As well, RTH which I had previously had mixed results with - I think due to Curved Turns and the impacts of where they were set - worked perfectly

You could have learned all that by reading the Online User Guide:

Litchi has NO RTH procedures, it merely instructs the drone to execute DJI’s RTH procedures (like pressing the RTH button on your remote).
Read the manual of your drone to learn how RTH procedures work!

I am one of the great manual readers !!!

As such I know that all Manual writers do NOT write for their audience and even though they might argue it “is all in the book” doesnt mean it is reconciled by the reader who has a particular direction he/she is following and passes over much of the content in search of their own one answer. .The gems and good guts are often overlooked.
Apart from that I am 82 years old and no longer have the speed or association skills I once had.
All that said, if you are believe I buy the drone today, read the manual tonight and fly it tomorrow with Top Gun skills, dream on !!! You gotta evolve and learn.

However, thanks for the help you have given - it has been appreciated
