No. You said that manually setting ev sets the iso setting.
ISO automatically adjusts from lighting
a rather old post but i will try my luck: is there any way to set a higher ISO with automatic exposure enabled? I have the problem that my Mini 2 sticks at ISO100 at low lights which causes blurry images due to shutter speed around 1/10s, i would prefer something around 1/100s âŚ
Hi TriBar,
thanks for your reply,
yes, i know how to toggle between auto and manual. But as soon as i switch back to auto the ISO is lowered from my setting, resulting in to long exposure times.
Is there any way to fix a ISO setting in auto exposure?
What drone are you using ?
Can you post a screenshot when in Auto Mode.
its the DJI Mini 2, screen is similar to your picture. As soon as i switch to auto both ISO and SS are changed but i want the ISO to be fixed, just SS changing to adjust the exposure
You can only control EV when in Auto Mode.
According to the Mini 2 User Manual, the maximum ISO in Video & Photo mode is 32000, however for some drones the maximum ISO in Auto Mode is less than that.
The User Manual doesnât mention this for the Mini 2.
Also your story is somewhat confusing:
First you say ISO drops to 100 when switching to Auto.
Then you say ISO is lowered when switching to Auto.
Third you say Botch ISO and SS are changed when switching to Auto.
I tested with the Mini 1 but donât experience anything you wrote so far, thatâs why I asked you to post a screenshot.
In fact post the exact same 2 screenshots I posted (1 in Auto Mode and 1 in Manual Mode) and cover the lens when doing so.
In Auto Mode ISO & SS are controlled automatically by the camera depending on the light conditions, so thatâs normal behaviour.
You can only control the EV (Exposure Value), which again influences both ISO & SS Automatically.
or Lock the exposure completely with the âAE Lockâ button.
The ONLY way to use a specific SS is to use Manual Mode and/or somewhat ND-filers in high light conditions.
Conclusion:
Your drone and Litchi are behaving normal.
Than may be we could add this as a feature request for Litchi?
It makes no sense to have no control over the ISO setting in auto exposure, that is one of the basic functionality of any camera. What do you think? Best regards, Tom
