I have used Litchi’s iOS version for a few years. Recently, I bought a used Samsung tablet computer for use with Litchi Pilot and my newer DJI drones, but also since I decided to buy Litchi’s Android version to use with my older DJI drones as an alternative to my iPad.
From the Google Play Store, I found a download option for Litchi’s Android version, but saw no provision to pay the $25 cost of the Android version of Litchi. On my Android tablet, Litchi’s Android version downloaded and works normally in saving a test waypoint flight I created on the Samsung tablet touchscreen.
Since I hadn’t made any payment for the Android version of Litchi, I was not expecting that it would be possible to create and save any flight plans as I have done, but I also noticed there is no login tab, meaning I cannot yet link all my waypoint missions stored in the Mission Hub that would be accessible via linking the IOS version of Litchi with the Android version, obviously because I haven’t found out how to go about making that payment for the Android version.
Litchi’s " Check and Sync License" option fails on this Samsung tablet, yielding this error message: “License Sync Failed -Log out and log back in”. On logging back in, I see the copy of Mission Hub with my user name on it showing at the page’s top right tab, yet I still cannot figure out how to pay for the Android version of Litchi so I can access the waypoint missions saved in my copy of the Litchi Mission Hub.
Any advice on how I can make payment for the Android version of Litchi would be appreciated. I am sure I am missing something really obvious here, but for now, I cannot see the forest for the trees. Thanks in advance for any thoughts that can be offered on this subject.
In looking over my Google password listing, I noticed I have TWO Litchi accounts, of which only one is familiar to me. I only recall paying for the IOS version of Litchi, and indeed, I have never used any Android device to fly my DJI drones with Litchi.
Now I am wondering how it came to be that I own TWO Litchi accounts with different names and passwords. If such accounts can be created simply by signing up with a different username on the Litchi website, with no obligation to buy the mobile Litchi app, then I probably created one of the two accounts by mistake.
If, on the other hand, Litchi accounts can only be opened by customers who have paid for either the IOS or Android version of Litchi, then I must have bought TWO Litchi licences without realizing it. Also, if I did make two separate Litchi purchases online without remembering having done so, I still have no idea whether I bought two IOS licenses or one IOS and one Android license.
The more I think about this, the more my head hurts. Any thoughts about my bafflement that can be offered will be appreciated
Hello Kaehn, and thanks for these links to payment records that I’ve never encountered before. From the receipt from the Google Play store dating back to 2020, would I be correct in speculating that this Litchi purchase cannot be for an IOS device and therefore must be for an Android device?
If this is the case then I must have bought Litchi versions for BOTH the IOS and the Android platforms, only to forget entirely as the years went by that I also paid for the Android version. I only ever used the IOS version of Litchi on my iPad thus far, so this is the first time I actually looked into the possible existence of a paid copy of the Android version for my devices.
If I am correct in assuming I already do have a valid Android version of Litchi, that would explain why I was able to create and save a new waypoint test flight. I do have Litchi Mission Hub working on my newly acquired Samsung Android tablet, and all my saved flights are visible. It is when I tried to use the"Check and Sync License" option that I got an error message and so far, I have not been able to access my Mission Hub saved flights on the Litchi app screen of this new Android device.
I would be grateful for any tips that can be offered on how to sync my license so that the Mission Hub saved waypoint flights will appear on the Litchi app screen of my Samsung tablet.
Yes this is an android license of Litchi. You can only download it without paying if you already paid for it.
You should be able to see all your Hub missions as long as you log in to the same Litchi account on both devices. For the check and sync license, what is the exact/full error message you see?
This is good news that I purchased the Android version of Litchi back in 2020. I completely forgot having done so haha.
The error message reads “License sync failed. Connect to your Litchi account in order to sync your license. It may be necessary to log out and log back in to your Litchi account.”
Looking at my two Litchi purchases, I must have used a different email address for each separate purchase of Litchi’s two versions. If this means I will not be able to link the Android version of Litchi with my saved Mission Hub flight plans, then I would like to find out if there is a way by which I can manually copy the flight plans from my desktop’s Mission Hub to my Android device.
That said, I hope there is a means by which I can independently link the Android and IOS versions of Litchi with the desktop Litchi Mission Hub, so as to share the saved missions on both Android and IOS platforms on my two drone flying devices.
This error just means you are not logged in to your Litchi account inside the app. Tap on the top left corner Litchi icon, then select Log in and enter your Litchi account details. Then “Check and Sync license” should work fine.
It does not matter if you used different google/apple accounts to purchase Litchi on both platforms, in fact it will always be the case as you need a google account for one and apple account for the other, so they are always going to be different.
To sync all your missions across devices, all you need to make sure is that you use the same Litchi account. If you have several Litchi accounts (not recommended or necessary), find the one you want to use by logging into each one on the Hub and then log into that same account in the mobile apps
Vico, I doff my hat to you, sir. It works, and all my Mission Hub files have materialized on screen. I had even used that top left menu to select waypoint mode previously, yet failed to notice the login tab at the right side of that short menu list.
