Hi everybody,
as I understand there is no way to install the Iitchi Pilot app into a DJI RC controller, what is recommended instead is to connect a phone with the Iitchi Pilot installed to the DJI RC through the USB, which I did but couldn’t figure out how to configure the app in the phone to connect it through the RC to the drone.
The screen on the DJI RC have showed that it lost the connection to the drone as soon as I connected the phone, which made me to think that it is a step to the right direction, but the next step where the app in the phone takes over the drone control I can’t figure out.
Please help.
I would like to know where you got this “recommendation”, because I don’t think this will work.
That is just a link to a Google search. Most of the search results are for installing Litchi on the Smart Controller or DJI RC Pro. If you have specific information about the DJI RC, please share it.
I have never heard of a way to connect a phone to the DJI RC with the intent of somehow flying the drone from the phone.

Smart Controller or DJI RC Pro

This is weird, when I posted that Google search link it was showing the AI search result describing how to connect the DJI RC to the phone with Litchi Pilot in order to make it work, now when I enter the same question it gives my own topic in the Litchi forum as a result))
So, to use Mavic 3 Pro with Litchi I have to use only the Litchi Pilot and either a Smart Controller or DJI RC Pro, right?
DJI has not (and probably will not) released the MSDK for the Mavic 3 series of drones. Therefore, no third-party app (including Litchi Pilot) can work with it.
That’s what I knew about the SDK, and when I ran the searches online the results were pretty unexpected, including that one with the Litchi Pilot on the phone through the DJI RC. I mean, this AI thing got this info from somewhere, right? So, I thought it was legit)
Now, that that search result is gone I still can show you what it says about the Litchi Pilot and the Mavic 3 Pro. Pls see the attached pic. Go figure where it gets such results from…)))
When you work with things like ChatGPT for a while you will learn that you cannot trust the results. Yes, these AI tools learn from data on the web. However, there is so much false information on the web it takes a human to do their own research to know what is true and what is false.
