Is that what I think? Will it be a new feature to program an automatic grid flight with overlap and sidelap? If so, when will it be available?

Yes, it will be a grid mission designer. People have asked when it will be available but there is really no way for us to know, is there? It will be available when the the developers have created a workable grid solution that they feel is ready to be tested by the public.
