Google maps not working

Using Litchi on a Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus , with HyperOS (Android 14), also tested on a Lenovo Tab M10 FHD PLUS with Android 10 , for some reason I cannot get Google Maps to work in Litchi at all, only Map Box works… Google Maps works flawlessly on both of these devices when I use the DJI Go 4 for my Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Fly app for the Mini 2 and also on Freeflight 6 with my Parrot Anafi 4K… really bugging the pants off me here , as I use Google Offline Maps…

@Davyg57 reported the same issue in this thread:

Perhaps he figured it out by now.

I have since deleted the other postings… my bad…

DJI’s apps don’t use Google map engine but Mapbox. It seems Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus do not support natively the Playstore. Google map requires Google Play services.

If you wish to use Google Maps as your map engine on Android device without Playstore, there are a few extra steps:

  1. Install the Google Play Services APK :https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms&hl=fr
  2. Install the Google Play Store APK : https://flylitchi.com/assets/apk/Google%20Play%20Store_v14.7.50_smartcontroller.apk
  3. Change the “Map Engine” to Google Maps in Litchi’s settings

Thanks for your reply, did as you suggested, however it asks if I want to update this app then I get the “App not installed as package appears to be invalid”…I do have Google play store and services already on the system

Check if you have the last version here.
Otherwise try to clear data from Google Play Services.

Settings > Applications > Google Play Services > Storage > Clear Data

Tried that… Still no joy…I have the latest updates for play store and maps…I’ll see how I get on with Mapbox…
