I watched the “Hatu” channel (YouTube) today, November 18, 2025, and I understood that after the DJI FLY update in December 2025, unlocking the “GeoZone” via the app will no longer be required. A message will only appear informing the drone operator of the danger and reinforcing that the responsibility for flying under these conditions rests entirely with the pilot, who completely releases DJI from any liability. Can someone confirm the veracity of this?
This is correct (in the USA). However, this update came out a long time ago. I don’t remember exactly when, perhaps around a year ago.
