stupid question alert: I’m completely new to flying drones and Litchi, it’s very possible I’m asking something stupid here.
I’m looking for a way to define a few waypoints. Let the drone fly to the first waypoint, and wait there (indefinitely) until given the instruction to fly to the next waypoint, to wait there, etc.
This is outside the scope of a waypoint mission. Waypoint missions are designed to be automated such that they continue to completion without user input. The only solutions you will get are “work-arounds” such as what Sam has suggested.
What is your use case that requires you to manually intervene in an automated wayoint mission?
I’m working on the development of a product for ham radio. This is a innovative antenna design which needs to be calibrated using beacons. The idea is to let a beacon be a payload of a drone, let the drown fly to a predefined location and calibrate the antenna for that location.
The calibration takes an undermined amount of time, hence the drone should wait in that location until calibration is done and fly to the next location after that so calibration can continue, etc.
From what you describe, Sam’s workaround may be sufficient for you. Configure “Waits” at the waypoints of the mission and then pause the mission while the drone is “waiting”. When you are ready for the drone to continue, unpause the mission.
