Drone isn't taking enough pictures

So I set the Photo Interval to 0.5s and in my photo folder there are on average 15 pictures per minute.

Why is this happening?

Upon opening Litchi it is complaining that the SD card is slow, I tried resetting it.

Might that be the cause? What type of miniSD card do you reccommend?

0.5 seconds doesn’t allow enough time for an image to be saved to even a fast MicroSD card.

Most require 2 seconds or more. I use 2.5 seconds as a minimum.

Your drone captured an image, then ignored the subsequent image capture actions until it completed the process of saving the first one. Then, it captured the next one.

Ok thanks! I will try soon with a faster SD card and see how many pictures per minute I can achieve

I don’t know what drone you’re using but the majority of consumer drones can’t capture at .5 seconds. Some of the Enterprise drones can capture at .7 & 1 seconds but not most consumer drones. Only interval times which are allowed by the drones firmware will work. Majority of drones can capture at intervals of 2,3,5,7 and so on. Check the specs for your specific drone to see what the firmware allows.

The SD card should be a V30 rated card. A class 10 may work at times but the read and write speeds may not be fast enough compared to a V30. The SD cards are inexpensive and I only use Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 with 64, 128 or 256 gig size. The 128 gig is only about $19 depending on where you buy them.
