Drone is slowing down at each waypoint

problem with the new planning software. drone slows down to zero at each waypoint and then speeds up to the set speed as it starts to next waypoint. why isn’t it maintaining speed across the waypoint?

When “Path Mode” is set to “Straight Lines” the drone will stop at each waypoint.
That’s the way it has always been.

I have always used curved paths for all my waypoint missions, yet I also noted this slowing down behavior on just a few of my numerous saved waypoint missions.

The workaround solution I devised was to go through each waypoint and increase the turn radius slider to whatever its maximum permissible value was for each successive waypoint. With that done, the drone again maintained its assigned cruise speed without any of those battery-wasting pauses.

Path mode is set to curved turns. That’s not the issue.

That helps. I’m still seeing a change in speed and it seems to be tied to how close the curve is to the actual waypoint. The closer the maxed out curve runs to the waypoint, the slower the drone goes.

This is an observation that I failed to note, and now that you mention it, there was, even with the curve radius maximized, a subtle decrease in speed at sharp bends in the flight path that I dismissed as a figment of my imagination, until now.

We’ve made improvements for this, but if you don’t tell us what your setup is (or better share a flight), it’s hard to say what the issue is in your case and if it’s been fixed
