I am just getting started learning to use Litchi Hub. I use an NC2 controller to fly my Mini 4 Pro, and have successfully transferred waypoint missions from my Litchi Hub to the NC-2 using the Litchi Hub Bridge. So far, so good. I now want to use a DJI controller for virtual flight within Litchi Hub. As the app notes, I am unable to get the app to connect to the NC2 running the latest firmware. For me, that’s ok as I still have my original NC-N2 controller that was just collecting dust. I am able to pair it, and it is working fine on the firmware installed: 1.21.8. I haven’t used this controller to fly for more than a year though, and I assume this is not the latest firmware. Will it break the ability to pair it with Litchi Hub if I permit it to update firmware and/or the dji fly app?
My RC-N2 has firmware 01.01.0300 and works fine with Litchi Hub to control the virtual drone.
Firmware updates can break this functionality so it’s always a risk to update, small but there.
It did break it with DJI RC 2 but that said RC 2 is a very different RC and firmware.
BTW 1.21.8 is your DJI Fly version, not your RC firmware version.
Thank you for the reassurance I needed to give it a try. Everything is now up to date, and it still pairs and works great. Since I’ve pulled this controller out of storage, and learned a bit about pre scripting a flight path at my leisure, I now have a use case where using the RC N2 with a larger tablet display will actually be my preferred tool in the field for flying wayport mission shots. My RC2 is still my got o for convenience where that matters. But I’m glad I didn’t sell the n2.
