To comply with the FAA’s Remote ID rule, Phantom 4 Pro V2 and Phantom 4 Pro+ V2 owners should update their aircraft firmware to version 01.00.70.17. The remote controller firmware should also be updated accordingly, alongside the DJI Go 4 App, now required to be at version 4.3.60 for operational functionality.
A critical note from DJI: if you’re using the GS Pro app with your aircraft, avoid this firmware update, as it is not compatible with the new software package.
Also dos not work with Litchi, please advise when Litchi will be updated to work with Phantom 4 Pro+ V2 firmware to version 01.00.70.17.
Sounds like that new DJI update is designed to lock users out from Litchi. That is a big deal and certainly merits consideration by any Phantom 4 owner who is considering the question of whether another firmware update is even necessary in the first place, particularly if the Phantom 4 is working perfectly WITHOUT that update.
