DJI Mini 4 Pro MSDK

Here directly from the horses mouth

apparently it will only be on the Enterprise controller when it happens

Martin, Do you have any information at all as to WHEN that might happen? DJI has been promising that since late 2023.

And is there a package for the Mini Pro 4 that includes the Enterprise controller?

I’ve been holding off buying the Mini Pro 4 since it came out because I only want to fly it with pre-programmed missions using Mission Hub. If DJI is just going to refuse to release SDK Support, I will start looking for another drone.

Based on DJI’s actions my guess is that having an MSDK for the Mini 4 Pro (and other modern consumer drones) will never happen. By their lack of response to all who have asked for this, they are sending a clear message that they have no interest in updating their MSDK for consumer drones.

I did send an email to DJI support, not really expecting a response, and I got this “kind-of” answer: Hello and thank you for reaching out to DJI Innovations.

At present, msdk has a plan and schedule to support Mini 4 series, but the specific date is not synchronized with me by my R&D colleagues, which is confidential.

We hope that our solution meets your needs satisfactorily. We appreciate your email and wish you a wonderful day!

But I don’t know whether to trust it or not since this has been the story now since 2023.

Translation: We currently do not have any plans to support the Mini 4 series (or any other recently released consumer drone) with the MSDK.

I wish it were different but their actions speak much louder than their words.
