Disconnection issue with my RCN1 controller

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m José David Barrientos from Costa Rica. I’d like to share three flight missions I did for a photogrammetry project using Litchi.

The project covers about 800 hectares, divided into blocks. During one section of 350 hectares, I think I made a mistake by splitting it into two flights, which made things a bit more complicated that day.

I also had issues with the RC disconnecting frequently, especially past 1 km. I re-paired the controller with my DJI Air 2S, adjusted the configuration, and it seems to be fixed now — I’ll run a test flight in two days to confirm before heading back to the farm on Thursday.

If anyone could check my three missions (7 flights total) and share any suggestions or feedback, I’d really appreciate it :folded_hands:

Thanks a lot for your time and help!

There is technically nothing wrong with your waypoint missions.

The on screen signal strength indicator shows an average signal strength.

In both graphs the average signal strength is equal, however in the bottom graph the time the signal is weak/interrupted is too long to successfully complete a waypoint mission.
This results in a Signal Lost error.
Manual flying seems to be less sensitive to signal interruptions.

Repairing the drone to the remote makes no difference, it’s unrelated.

For VSC drones (which yours is) it can also lead to strange behavior of the drone, like wandering & spinning around.

For the most stable signal, the remote and drone have to be in unobstructed line of sight, and the RC has to be pointing towards the drone (consult the user manual of the drone).
