I use Litchi with my DJI Mini 1 mainly for self-recording, and I’m trying to improve the control of follow mode for situations where there is no second person to help.
My idea is to create a very simple companion app with just five large buttons:

Three buttons to change the drone’s heading (left of user, front of user, right of user)

Two buttons to adjust distance (1 meter closer or further away)
The companion app would handle the calculations and then send Litchic app the exact heading and distance values to use, so I wouldn’t need to fiddle with settings while moving. I could have my phone out of sign, or my smart watch, to control the drone.

Has anyone tried something similar?

Is this kind of setup even possible with Litchi?

Does Litchi provide an API that allows an external app to send heading and distance commands like this?
