Camera stops recording in waypoint missions. Why?

I have finally figured out how to fly the waypoint missions with the camera pointing where I want it to. Now, I need to know why the camera stops recording. I set it to start recording with the first waypoint, and it stops recording by itself and finishes the mission with no more recorded footage, Any ideas why?

Thanks

Rob

Your Mavic Air can’t take photos while recording video, meaning when you add a waypoint action “Take Photo” at any waypoint, the recording will STOP but NO photo will be taken.

Share your plan so someone can take a look at it and see why video capturing is stopping. Usually when it stops video capture it’s due to a command at some point during the mission.

will do immediately thanks

This is the drone flight link I hope, it looks like an advertisement but it’s the way it posted my link

Let me know if that link doesn’t work, I will try again. Thanks for looking at it.

Let’s begin with the 5 changes you meanwhile made to the mission you shared, did they have any effect?
Do you have “Auto Record” enabled in the Litchi app “Camera Settings”?
When using the waypoint Action “Start Recording” in WP1, disable it (Auto Record).
How many seconds of footage was actually recorded?
Does recording continue (Not stop) when you fly manually?
If it also stops by it’s own, most likely your SD card is not up to the task (too slow) or faulty.

The only action I had was start recording on waypoint 1. No auto record was in that I know of. I have not tried the mission since I made the changes on the other 5 waypoints. The sd card works perfectly and is exactly what you need. When I fly manually on DJI 4 app it works perfectly, I just prefer Litchi and would like to learn to use it

Thanks

Your original shared mission had a “Start Recording” action on waypoints 1 through 5 !!

Did you actually check this setting in the Litchi app ?

That wasn’t the original, I was messing with changes!!. I don’t know how much footage was recorded I deleted it because it was trash. I absolutely checked this setting in the app

The plan you shared indicates nothing which should stop recording. Since you haven’t flown it with the way it’s set up now with the changes you made I’d fly the mission and report back. Enjoy…

Thank you, I’ll try it as soon as possible.

I appreciate the help

Just had a similar experience where the recording started at WP1 and stopped at WP2 and then no further recording video. There were not additional actions at WP2 - just a marker to control flight path. Worked fine on a test multi waypoint flight a few days ago but not today. Would love to figure ths out. For now, possible workaround to “Start Recording” at each WP?

Without seeing your mission there is no way to know what is wrong. If you share it, we can have a look. No, you don’t want to have a “Start recording” at every waypoint.

John, on mine, I had the mission layout perfect as instructed by the lessons on the Litchi website. The camera was told to start recording with the first action. It was never told to take a picture or record after that initial command. However, in between every waypoint the recording would be stopped even if I manually started it, or started it in the app. I never resolved it. I’m using old Mavic Air but it’s in great shape

Here is my plan. It began recording at WP1 and stopped when it got to WP4. Any thoughts or insight appreciated. Thanks! Plan

You can’t record video and take photos at the same time !
The recording is stopped as soon as the “photo interval” is executed at WP2.

That’s pretty much what mine was doing. Stopping recording after every single waypoint. Makes no sense, and my drone was absolutely programmed correctly no matter what the forum guy says

John’s issue was that he had “time intervals” configured for each waypoint while trying to record video at the same time. DJI drone cannot capture photos and video simultaneously. If you were to share a mission where video capture unexpectedly stops, we can have a look.
