Beta Circle or Spiral Feature

Hi, while using the beta version I notice in the waypoint menu there is an option to create a circle or a spiral. When I try to use it, i get a message that it’s unavailable for the drone I’m using. (Mini 3 Pro). Does anyone have the same issue or am I doing something wrong?

Are you sure you picked the correct drone model in the Flight Settings.

Hi TriBar, thanks for the help. I did find the option to select my drone. One more question though since the “Export to CSV” is coming soon and not available yet is there a way to move the POI in the circle or spiral options?

You can Drag a WP/POI to whatever position you want, but ONLY when your flight plan is UNLOCKED.

Hi, when I create a simple circular mission it places the POI in the center. When I try to move the POI out of the circle it move the circle with it as if there tied together. This is the case even when the mission is unlocked.

I made the mission public so you can have a look. Name is RAC TEST

The POI is the center of your orbit/spiral, so naturally when you move the POI it also moves the entry and start waypoints

Hi, thanks for the info. I realize why the POI is in the middle when it’s created. What I would like to do is move the POI outside the circle so my light on top of the drone always faces the camera at the launch point. I know there are other way to do this but I was intrigued when I seen this option in the BETA version.

Currently, it’s not possible for the drone to orbit while focusing on a point of interest (POI) other than the Orbit’s center. This limitation exists because the Orbit feature is designed to automatically set the entry waypoint’s POI to the center point of the Orbit, that is how Litchi knows the waypoint is the start of an Orbit.
