Altitude question / number beside waypoint symbol

Beta version. very confused, dont like trees.
wp1 on top of hill. Altitude 150 Above ground checked. number beside wp1 is 150.
ground elevation 731 ft ( 0 ft below first wp)

wp2 is set the same, 150 above ground.
elevation 588 ft ( 143 ft below wp1 )

731 - 588 = 143
150 - 143 = 7

number beside wp2 is 6.
maybe it should be 7 idk.

what good is it ?

i think im beginning to understand. As opposed to the old way, the drone now knows its going downhill
and maintains 150 ft alt. vs flying level off wp1 and ending up 293 ft above ground at wp2.
Ok, i checked on line elevation in settings. This must be the first time in years that got checked. maybe beta added elevation of lat/ lon. Thanks Phil
im just trying to avoid the trees in the forested hills of Southern Ohio.

Very good.

Rounding errors are normal.

What makes you believe the numbers you used in your calculations are not rounded, but Litchi uses the actual not rouded numbers in it’s calcuations and then displays the rounded number.
And how are all these numbers rounded, down or up.

Besides that, most DJI drones have a vertical hovering (height) accuracy of +/- 0.5m (2ft), the Phantom 3 Pro even +/- 1.5m (+/-5ft) (see the specs of your drone).

That makes this “error” of 1ft well within the accuracy of the drone itself.
