Air 2S, Fat 32 4GB Limit, No first 4Gig Video

Did three waypoint flights yesterday of about 10 minutes each. Aircraft behaved beautifully as indicated by eye and Litchi (and subsequently - the flight Logs).
Got Home and looked at the results and the first video file for each flight was non existent. The time for each flight and the file sequence says they would have been the first of the FAT32 4gig limit files. All that was on sd card was the last 2-3 minutes of each flight.
I know of the 4GB limit and the changeover or chaptering but I’m after a bit of clarity about which part of the machine might have a problem that makes it not write or delete the first 4 Gig file.

Does the SD card manage the splitting of files or does the dji software sort that out on behalf of the SD card and tell it what to write?
Was it the card or the aircraft ?

The card is a full spec Samsung Pro plus2 V30 U1 128 GB and there was plenty of spare room on it.
I will get another full spec card and see what happens anyway but curious about the process and what might have gone wrong.

As an addendum to above, Just for laughs I did place an NTFS card in the aircraft to see what would happen and maybe hope it could be a fix but good old DJI told me I had the wrong format Card !!

How did you format the card, in the pc or the aircraft

When I feel its time I always do it from PC. I have used the app - either DJY fly or litchi - but my rule is the desktop. In this case I think my last reformat was PC

Try doing it in the aircraft using the Litchi app

I did a format from App and card in Aircraft and it resulted in a exFAT format.
I hadn’t realised that the Air2s could handle both FAT 32 and exFat. I had always understood it to be only FAT32 so lesson learnt there
BUT
I still have no explanation for it not recording the first 4GB file of the flight.

A further check from Video downloads to PC was that MP4 file numbers were not all sequential. In other words the file numbers (and times) corresponding to those 4GB files were missing from the number sequence in the downloads !!..

I’m getting close to thinking its a card problem not an aircraft problem and I am currently running the card thru H2testw to see what it determines.

mmm More to come.

H2testw says my card is in Purrrfect Wurrrkin order !!!

I shall reformat the card again to FAT32 and do the flight again then reformat to exFAT and leave as permanent card

Any one got some thoughts on all of this now ??
