Air 2S Cant't Drag New Home Point

I can’t drag the home point in Map display to set home point at aircraft displayed location.
???

Do you get an error message? It should normally work.

No error. Switch to map view. Press home point. Drag to desired location but home point doesn’t drag. Canceled landing and landed manually. in unusually
Opened map view. where the home point in relation to the drone
Map view was zoomed unusually tight so zoomed out a bit to where I could see in satellite view the drone icon in relation to where it actually was on the ground.
Home point was about 10’ away.
Pressed home point to drag to correct location but it would not move.
Powered off drone.
Restarted Smart Controller.
Restarted Air 2S.
Went to map view.
Home icon was 10’ away from drone icon.
Pressed home icon tried to drag over drone icon but home icon wouldn’t drag.
Does drone need to be flying for this feature to work?

Yes you need the drone in the air, required by DJI SDK

  • Home Point at Aircraft: Moves the Home Point to the aircraft’s current location. You must be flying in order to move the Home Point.
  • Home Point at Device: Moves the Home Point to the mobile device’s current location. You must be flying in order to move the Home Point.
