Follow up. If I create a new mission in VLM, without spiral maker, using interpolate settings for the camera gimbal, all headings are followed correctly. If I create a helix mission in VLM, all headings again are correct. Seems to be something with the combination of the spiral maker file, set to interpolate, and GEP not working correctly my end.
I would really like to help but I am unable to replicate the problem you describe. I used my spiral creator with all of the default values except setting “Gimbal Pitch Mode” to “Interpolate”. I imported the resulting CSV file into VLM v2.8.2 and then sent the mission to Google Earth Pro. The mission was simulated properly.
Until I can replicate the issue you describe, it is very difficult to troubleshoot.
Do you have access to another computer where you could test this with VLM and GEP? Doing so may help to isolate the problem to one computer’s installation.
Setting to Interpolate is the issue. Correction, if I create a helix mission in VLM and change the camera gimble settings to interpolate, the same issue occurs. The headings are not followed and locked to the initial heading angle. It makes no sense that previously saved missions don’t have the issue or creating new missions without a spiral or helix.
