A suggestion is to add “on signal lost” features like RTH, Hover, Land, and Continue. This would be great, especially for drones with limited range.
This HAS been a feature (setting) since the very first release of Litchi & Litchi Pilot !
You will NOT find it in the Litchi Hub.
Also read your previous post again:
My understanding of how litchi controls the drone, is that it used emulated stick controls from the device that has litchi. So it cannot continue the path when disconnected, because the drone does not know the path, the waypoints are not stored on the drone, it’s being guided by the controller device.
Welcome to the forum.
What you are describing is “Virtual Stick Control” (VSC) of a drone. VSC is used when DJI adds support for one of their drones that does not have native waypoints in their MSDK. Examples of these drones include the Air 2S and the Mini 3 Pro.
Other DJI drones do have native waypoint support where the mission is uploaded to the drone so that the drone can fly the mission autonomously (without the controller connected). Examples of these drones include the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom, Air 3S, Mavic 3, and Mavic 4 families. With these drones, an option to the “Signal Lost” selection is “Continue Mission” (except in the EU).
So mavic 2 will continue on waypoint on loss of comm??? Mine returns home on loss. But it’s been a while since I tried a long flight.
It can be checked and changed in the DJI GO4 app. Advanced Settings.
