Simulation Mode Fails

Google Earth view (using the Google button in the new Hub planner) for flight simulations has suddenly gone to near ground level when it flies a mission path………….this is happening with all new missions and all missions planned a up to a year ago that flew correctly for fpv and camera view just 3 days ago. I have made no changes that should have affected this feature, but it is now unusable for mission planning! I have read that the first waypoint has to be directly above the takeoff point, but that doesn’t make a difference, and some of my mission never had a takeoff point identified, just started from Waypoint 1. Anyone having similar problems, or have a potential solution?

That is strange. I just checked and ran several path & mapping components. They all are working properly at the altitude I have them set at. I tried on my iPad 11 Pro and even my old PC using Firefox browser. What platform are you using such as a PC, mobile device & which browser ?

Think I found the answer…..appears Google Earth/Maps and my system had a handshake issue for a short while with transferring the elevation from Google to my system when I selected a mission. I was getting a red box at the bottom right of the screen that said “No elevation data” yesterday but today it is green with the elevation for whatever mission I choose and the simulation works just fine when that is green. Something I will need to watch for in the future I guess. Thanks for getting back to me. Oh, I am on a desktop PC running Window 11 Home, but don’t think that is the issue in this case.

Good to hear it’s sorted out. Enjoy.
