Parameters to configure mission at 3 meters height in Mini 5 Pro

Hello everyone.

I need to fly over a field as if it were a photogrammetric route, but I need to do it at a height of 3 meters, with a distance of 5 meters between passes, and have the drone take photos every 10 meters. It’s not photogrammetry, so I don’t need overlaps, just to take photos on the grid described. How should I configure all the parameters to capture these images? Can I configure the photos to be taken automatically when setting up the mission, or once the file is imported to the drone’s controller and when starting the mission, do I have to configure this directly in DJI Fly? Can I activate the terrain following function so that the drone always maintains the 3-meter height regardless of whether the terrain has some unevenness?

To create a flight as you describe you would need to:

  1. Create a new Area Mapping Flight
  2. Select the Mini 5 Pro as the drone model
  3. Select the Above Ground option
  4. Select a height of 3m
  5. Select a Front Overlap of 0%
  6. Select a Side Overlap of 0%
  7. Select a sufficiently slow speed

You will not be able to specify the distance between passes or the distance between photos. Those two parameters are computed for you based on the overlaps specified.

Also, because of the low flight altitude and inaccuracies in ground elevation data, I would carefully monitor the flight being prepared to abort the flight if the drone gets too close to the ground.
